2.9.0 release target; current-source Windows candidate evidence
Package applicability is under review; follow the stated version and platform limits.
Before starting
Use the intended 2.9 release and its matching manual. These steps are derived from maintained source documentation; availability in the final distributed package must be checked.
Steps
- Open the intended netlist tab. Save an untitled document before its first run.
- For unsaved semantic edits, deliberately choose save-and-run, run the last saved file, or cancel. Resolve external file changes before proceeding.
- Choose Run > Run simulation, the command-palette action or the toolbar Run action.
- Read the completion and case status in Tasks and Output. For cancellation, request Cancel and wait for the worker to finish before another run.
- After edits or settings changes, treat earlier results as stale until the intended configuration has run successfully.

Check the save choice against the actual data
The checked 2.9.0 path offers Yes to save and run, No to run the saved file, and Cancel to stop. With a visible unsaved 20 ps edit, No ran the saved 5 ps model and retained 401 samples. Its task was stale, but the document incorrectly reported Results current (KB-RESULT-001).
Use Yes when the edit should run. The native check saved and ran 20 ps, then used normal Undo followed by Yes/save and Run to recover the original 5 ps source and arrays. Compare saved source and the current numerical data; neither a document label nor solver completion establishes accuracy.

Check the result
The selected result belongs to the intended saved netlist and case. Failed, cancelled and not-run cases remain distinct.
Viewing imported CSV/TSV or running the last saved file does not establish that unsaved editor text was simulated.
If the problem remains
If Run is unavailable, check netlist-vs-result tab type, save/external-change state and licensing. Keep diagnostics rather than repeatedly launching an unchanged failing run.
If no tab returns after restarting
Save the source before exiting. Automatic session restoration failed in the checked current-source Windows candidate: after normal close, a second process restored no tab (KB-GUI-007).
Explicitly reopen the saved .cir file, confirm its path and rerun for a new current result. That route passed in a separate process before export. It does not establish persistence of previous in-memory results or fix automatic restoration.
Sources and verification details
Recorded inputs/builds only. Complete walkthrough and final-package acceptance remain separate.
VAL-016 · JoSIM®-Pro 2.9 current-source Windows candidate with matching freshly built runtime; not the final distributed package
Production GUI controls, normal licensed JTL and AND runs, missing-include restoration, exact input/output collision rejection and operator-assisted CSV/All traces export. Explicitly reopening saved JTL and rerunning also passed
Automatic session restoration failed (KB-GUI-007). File opening was supplied at the production OpenFile boundary; folder-picker input, cancellation, retry, other export formats, physical accuracy and final-package acceptance remain unverified. CSV/CLI differences were at most one ULP in this example, not an accuracy or regression tolerance. The Clang-built runtime does not close the separate MSVC/OpenMP finding KB-BUILD-001. External Computer Use capture remains unqualified.
VAL-069 · Fresh frozen Windows JoSIM®-Pro 2.9.0 nonlinear review candidate
25 independent native/source/artifact checks, two normal app processes, fourteen successful runs and one failed run. Actual editor key/text commit, Cancel/No/Yes, source/disk separation, coarser-step/Undo/save recovery, typed AC opening and explicit saved-source reruns. No can run the saved model while the document incorrectly says Results current.
No product repair, complete GUI article, physical OS picker/pointer, automatic session restoration, final package/platform or general measured-device accuracy acceptance. The task, document label and numerical reference retain separate scopes.

JoSIM®-Pro 2.9 manual UI reference
A maintained manual UI reference, not a fresh calculation or a completed walkthrough. Final distributed-package applicability remains to be checked.

Fresh frozen Windows JoSIM®-Pro 2.9.0 nonlinear candidate, reviewed 4 November 2026
Bounded illustration with independent raw-data checks. Known reference/freshness limits, physical OS picker/pointer, arbitrary physical model and final-package/platform qualification remain separate.

- VAL-016 retains its saved-JTL and explicit-reopen scope. VAL-069 adds actual Cancel/No/Yes, source edit/Undo/save and separate-process nonlinear reruns. External-change decisions, worker cancellation, imported-result run prevention and final packages remain unexercised.
- Automatic session restoration failed and remains KB-GUI-007. No complete GUI lifecycle acceptance is claimed.
