2.9.0 release target; review-build/source evidence
Package applicability is under review; follow the stated version and platform limits.
Identify the acceptance rule
SP checks expected values at selected times. CSV checks configured waveform behaviour, including state/edge and detector/timing settings. EVENT checks documented relationships between Josephson-junction phase events without a golden waveform.
A circuit can pass one rule and fail another. A larger reported margin does not establish a more accurate method if the rules accept different behaviour.
Make a controlled comparison
- Keep the nominal netlist, selected parameters and search bounds fixed.
- Confirm that nominal verification passes before running a margin search.
- For CSV, inspect event detection before widening the final pass/fail threshold. Change one class of tolerance at a time.
- Compare the limiting parameter and side, not only the average. The critical margin is the worst side of the worst parameter.
- Check waveform behaviour around the reported boundary and repeat with appropriate time resolution.
Keep the claim bounded
Report the verification method and settings with the margin. A historical discussion of threshold differences does not resolve every later margin discrepancy or qualify all current builds.
Use the quantity-specific SP tolerance
For the checked resistor SP voltage trace, amplitude_threshold controls the passing interval; changing the phase threshold does not widen it. A bare node label N is used for this SP input. Current and phase acceptance rules are different and need their own appropriate checks.
VAL-030 establishes this controlled SP field/result relationship only. CSV/EVENT comparison, Josephson timing and general method accuracy are not exercised by the resistor fixture.
Sources and verification details
Recorded inputs/builds only. Complete walkthrough and final-package acceptance remain separate.
VAL-030 · JoSIM/Optimum™ 2.9.0 frozen maintained source, native Windows x64 Clang/OpenMP build, 3 November 2026
Fresh hash-frozen Windows 2.9 source build: complete SP resistor Margin/Yield/roll-off/COG Optimize, analytic bounds and statistics, saved-candidate re-verification, native typed JSON receipts, per-sample seeded identity at one/two threads and guarded failures
Sixty-two checks qualify this linear SP fixture and the recorded Windows source candidate. The current Unicode configuration-path issue remains KB-OPTIMUM-001, with ASCII-path recovery checked. GUI run/cancel/adoption screenshots, EVENT/CSV/Josephson/process-distribution validation, other platforms, broad concurrency/callback/cancellation contracts and final distributed packages remain open. Earlier installed review binaries behaved differently and are retained separately.
- support:SUP-018 · Generalised editorial finding; outcome qualification retained
- josim-pro:docs/manual_source/sections/optimum.tex · Verification methods; margin search; threshold selection
- owner:technical-review-20261102 · JoSIM®-Pro 2.9 chosen as the public starting path; release availability must be checked before publication
- validation:optimum-current-windows-20261103 · VAL-030; quantity-specific SP voltage tolerance and bounds, not CSV/EVENT execution
- Support history informed this draft. Current-source guidance has been checked; a fresh walkthrough on the intended distributed release and product-owner review remain pending.
- Controlled current-source SP voltage-tolerance and selected-parameter margin checks are recorded as VAL-030. CSV/EVENT, GUI and final-package acceptance remain open; this is not a complete method-comparison recipe.
