# InductEx® reports PRODUCT_NOT_LICENSED or no TTH entitlement

InductEx® Core and Studio request a TTH product grant. Check that grant and the running daemon's support for additional licence files.

Published guidance with release-applicability limits. Confirm package applicability before following this guide.

## Check the grant and file

1. Read the exact product/code in the diagnostic. A JoSIM®-Pro licence alone does not establish TTH authorisation.
2. Point Studio/Core to the intended InductEx® licence file without overwriting another product's file.
3. Check the running daemon version. The maintained InductEx® 8 manual requires 1.5.2 or newer for additive enrolment.
4. After dependent jobs finish, use the supported daemon upgrade/restart procedure if an older broker is still running.
5. Retry the licence check. Ask support to check entitlement if PRODUCT_NOT_LICENSED remains.

## Load an existing issued file into the running broker

A running broker can be ready while lacking the product grant your tool requests. In the recorded Windows case, control status was READY but TTH authorization returned PRODUCT_NOT_LICENSED and the normal extraction exited with error 113.

First confirm the existing issued InductEx® licence path. With a broker supporting additive enrolment, use its supported add command for that file. The normal Windows default is shown below; use your actual installed paths. This loads an existing entitlement rather than creating one or overwriting another product’s file.

1. Check the add response, then run the normal product licence check and intended extraction. READY alone does not establish TTH authorization.
2. In VAL-022 the command returned OK|ADDED, TTH authorization became OK and both the inline and maintained-reference extractions completed successfully.
3. If the intended issued file still produces PRODUCT_NOT_LICENSED, inspect the exact product/version diagnostic and ask support to verify entitlement. Avoid a repeated retry loop.

```text
& "C:\Program Files\SUN Magnetics\Licenses\bin\smlicctl.exe" add "C:\Program Files\SUN Magnetics\Licenses\sm_license.txt"
```

## Avoid a retry loop

Repeated attempts cannot add an entitlement that the licence does not grant. Include the exact product error and the client/daemon versions in a private support request; do not paste the licence key.

## Sources and verification details

Recorded inputs/builds only. Complete walkthrough and final-package acceptance remain separate.

- VAL-022: Windows installed smlicensed 1.5.3 and catalog InductEx 8.0.1. Actual missing-TTH authorization and error-113 rejection, supported loading of the owner-identified existing issued file and successful normal extraction afterward One observed local recovery. The cause of the earlier broker launch is not proven; READY alone is not authorization. No new entitlement, licence contents or holder identity are exported. GUI and final-package applicability remain pending.

- support:SUP-001: Generalised editorial finding; outcome qualification retained
- inductex:docs/manual/ix_install.tex: Licence checks; PRODUCT_NOT_LICENSED; additive enrolment
- validation:inductex-licence-recovery-20261103: VAL-022; actual READY-without-TTH state and existing-file additive-load recovery

- Support history informed this draft. Current-source guidance has been checked; a fresh walkthrough on the intended distributed release and product-owner review remain pending.
- VAL-022 records one actual Windows additive-load recovery. The earlier broker launch cause is unproven; no universal diagnosis, new entitlement or complete GUI acceptance is inferred.
